About Atonement

For more than 130 years, the Church of the Atonement has been a witness to the Gospel at our particular corner of Kenmore and Ardmore in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood. Through our worship, music, fellowship, pastoral care, formation, and outreach, the clergy and people of this congregation have consistently borne the light of Christ into the world. This parish has been blessed over its many years with generous, faithful leaders who have helped to lay a firm foundation for the work that lies before us: namely, to continue to praise God in glorious, holy worship, and to proclaim by word and deed the transforming power of God’s love for all of Creation.

You are most welcome to join us in our common life. If you are looking for a way to pray, we hope that you will come to daily Mass at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday; 12 noon on Thursday; and 10 a.m. on Saturday, or Sunday Masses at 8, 9, and 11 a.m. If you are looking for a way to serve those in need, we hope that you will join us in our outreach ministries. If you are looking for a way to grow in your faith, we hope that you will join us for faith formation at 10 a.m. each Sunday, including Spark! Activate Faith for children. If you are looking for a church home, we hope that you will find one here.
