Search Committee
In May 2022, Mother Erika Takacs left Atonement to continue her ministry in North Carolina, and one month later, Father Dan was called to be our interim rector. As we move toward finding our new rector, the Search Committee will post updates on this page. The committee will also be using our weekly e-news and a bulletin board in Montgomery Hall.
Search Committee preps for interviews
The Search Committee wants to again thank parishioners for their patience and support of the search process—the CAT survey, Small group discussions, help producing our Parish Profile, and your encouragement to many of our applicants. Tomorrow is the last day for the diocese to receive applications for our position. During May, interviews with promising applicants will be taking place. (To prepare for these, we have already conducted one mock interview.)
Hopefully, you will hear nothing about these upcoming interviews, since this part of the process needs to be done in absolute confidentiality. Our present work will not be helped by speculation, gossip, or fertile imaginations.
Thanks, in advance, for supporting our communal discretion as we enter the final stage of this search for Atonement’s new rector.
Job opening for settled rector posted
After months of reflection and assessment, Atonement has posted the job opening for a settled rector on the diocese’s website. We are excited to move into the next phase of our search and begin accepting applications from qualified candidates. Interested prospects can view our parish profile below and find the full qualifications and application on the diocesan website.
